Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, LLC, now a division of TranSystems, is excited to announce we are actively searching for a Traffic Project Engineer to join our award-winning team in our Lexington, Virginia office. 

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Organizing traffic data collection;

  • Conducting morning and evening peak period field observations of traffic operations;

  • Conducting capacity analyses with HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic and other methodologies;

  • Preparing reports and plans;

  • Helping prepare traffic control devices and maintenance of traffic plans;

  • Performing quantity take-offs;

  • Being flexible and working with numerous project members to help in project completion.

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:


  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school;

  • 3-8 years of experience in Highway Engineering;

  • Experience in MS Office;  

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

What we’d prefer for you to bring to our firm:


  • HCS and Synchro/SimTraffic experience preferred.
