Purpose: The Credit Analyst is responsible for supporting the Bank’s Commercial Lending staff through independent credit analysis, understanding FSB Credit Policies and Standards, and preparing decision documents (Commercial Approval Summary) for review by appropriate credit approving personnel.

Essential Functions:
Analyzes basic financial statements, tax returns and other financial information to develop written credit worthiness assessment by identifying strengths and weaknesses as pertains to borrower’s historical and projected operating performance. Provides recommendations and alternative solutions, where applicable, to the Lending Personnel. Develop into more detailed and complex credit underwriting as experience and understanding of FSB Credit evolves.
Develops appropriate information for credit presentations to process renewals, extensions, amendments, reviews, and new business requests. This includes, but is not limited to, developing information on affiliated debt and relationships, bank experience, industry background, competition, collateral analysis, and credit history.
Conducts and documents credit alerts, and formula-based credit offerings.
Develop and cross train to underwrite both Commercial and Industrial and Commercial Real Estate Credit Approval Summaries.

Job Related Qualifications – Education and Prior Experience:
Required:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field

Preferred:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Prior Experience: 1 + years of Commercial Credit Analyst experience, or successful completion of a Commercial Credit training program.
Licenses or Accreditation: N/A
Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret data and present it in a meaningful and easily understood form.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
Proficient or must become proficient in Microsoft Office applications including the ability to learn new and existing banking software.
Physical Requirements:
Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.
Extensive computer usage is required.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
