Landscape Management Branch Manager
Position Description: Landscape Management Branch Managers are responsible for all aspects of their local business including estimating, sales, production, safety, customer service, and employee development. Success in this position is indicated by high retention rates for both employees and customers along with profitability that meets or exceeds annual budgets. The ideal candidate is people-oriented with a proven record of leadership in a position with profit and loss responsibility.
Responsibilities
Supervising Others/Coaching/Motivating
Develop strong, positive relationships with direct reports
Spend regular one on one time with direct reports
Provide regular feedback
Conflict Resolution/Problem Solving/Negotiation
Create workable solutions to customer and employee problems
Negotiate terms with vendors and customers that are favorable to the company and fair

Communicate company mission, and values internally and externally
Share operational and financial performance information to the team on a regular basis

Hire, train, and encourage a team of high performing middle managers
Develop members of the team to improve bench strength

Qualifications
Positive, enthusiastic, energetic, and able to work well with others.
Demonstrated skill and ability to manage and develop numerous employees at various levels.
Excellent negotiation and written/oral communication skills in English.
At least 5 years of experience at a leadership level, with profit and loss responsibility in a commercial service industry. (Landscape industry a plus)
Knowledge of Microsoft products and other business enterprise software, with extra emphasis on spreadsheet capability.
Ability to run efficient and effective meetings over the phone or in person.
Bachelor’s degree in landscape or business-related area preferred, but not required.
Occasional travel (5%) to the company headquarters in Laytonville, MD.
