Overview

Perform simple to complex assembly of components to produce miscellaneous parts and equipment. Using standard methods, procedures and documentation such as routing, work order, verbal and written instructions, prints sketches, charts, tables and other information relative to the work at hand.



Responsibilities

  • Ensure jobs are processed by order of priority through proper use of dispatch or as instructed.
  • Provide detailed feedback for correction of error or discrepancies of documentation, BOM, routing and/or prints.
  • Complete documentation of equipment to stockroom prior to shipment.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure proper fit of components.
  • Perform self inspection and test of equipment prior to shipment to customer.
  • Assembly components in accordance with routing, work order, verbal and written instructions, prints sketches, charts, tables and other information relative to the work at hand.
  • Raw materials and inventory used to complete assembly process are accurately reported.
  • Equipment and tooling used during assembly process is thoroughly cleaned and stored at the end of each production day.
  • Equipment used in production is checked prior to and following use to ensure proper working condition. Required maintenance is performed as needed to maintain in good working condition.
  • All equipment, parts and inventory problems are reported in a timely manner.
  • Move and transport finished goods in the performance of job duties using proper material handling techniques.
  • Detect and report faulty or improper operation of equipment and/or questionable or unusual conditions.
  • Follow prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Report unsafe actions or work conditions immediately.
  • Detect and report defective material.
  • Complete documentation and inventory are submitted and approved by the inspection department.


Qualifications

Education - High School Diploma/GED

  • 2 years trades training and/or minimum one year experience with multiple part assemblies.
  • Advanced knowledge of blueprints and layout work.
  • Ability to work from detailed assembly, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to use shop arithmetic including decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to use judgment to perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
  • Must have basic tools of trade.
