LOCATION: 250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801
HOURS: 8:00pm - 4:30am; Monday - Friday with alternating Saturdays
FULL TIME: benefits eligible
In this role, you will:
Lead laboratory operations in Specimen Processing with a focus on identifying areas of opportunity and implementing action plans
Ensure that work is distributed properly to accessioning staff
Oversee training of new staff
Manage performance of staff
Ensure work is completed and workflow is managed consistently
Handle and address specimen problems
Ensure specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory's procedure for specimen handling and processing
Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to include departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety
All you need is:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous Lab or Accessioning experience
Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
Strong time management, judgement and decision making skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraints, without close supervision
A minimum 1 year previous supervisory experience, preferred
Salary Range: $58,500.00 to $65,000.00 (depending on experience). Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
