Develops and maintains relationships with community organizations, businesses, high schools and colleges, in their area of responsibility, to gain knowledge and understanding of their financial needs and prepare programs, curriculum, events and initiatives to provide education to meet the identified wants and needs. Develops and implements financial education and literacy plans and presentations, secures opportunities for presentations through networking and other tactics.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares and delivers financial education presentations to diverse groups in a variety of venues from onsite to virtual environments.
Increases community awareness of the Credit Union by supporting and actively participating in local programs with non-profit organizations, membership partners, schools and colleges to provide financial education programs across the community.
Researches tools and best practices of other financial institutions to develop curriculum for RFCU financial education outreach.
Prepares and executes financial education programs for a variety of groups from youth to adults, developing programs and curriculum and building off available resources.
Attends events and networks to develop connections with schools, non-profits, and organizations in our local communities; provides literature and promotional products, answers questions and promotes the Credit Union and financial education to grow the program.
Creates, captures and shares videos regarding relevant financial education topics.
Serves as the main point of contact for inquiries related to the financial education program and educate members on RFCU products and services to create efficiencies and autonomy.
Works with the Financial Education team to coordinate, grow and create initiatives, plans, events and new opportunities for financial education.
Prepares and maintains a variety of additional records and reports.
Promotes the Credit Union by participating in community involvement and special events.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Education Requirements
CUNA Financial Counseling Certification - within 12 months, as testing allows - Required
4 Year / Bachelors Degree - Business, Communications, Education or related field - Preferred
Experience Requirement
3 Years Experience in Education, Financial Counseling, Financial Planning, or Financial Services- Required
Experience in public speaking and presenting to a variety of large and small groups - Required
Knowledge of Kadince software - Preferred
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.
Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.
Resolve problems utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.
Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Operate computers and use business software and other standard office equipment.
Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Set priorities and manage one’s own time effectively.
Knowledge of video creation tools, including but not limited to; pre-production, recording & editing.
Proficient with virtual presentation platforms.
