Position Overview
Administer safety point programs, the Safety Manager with administrative duties, and manage driver coaching and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Assists with workers' compensation claims; Forward documentation/reports to the claims department.
Maintains safety files and documentation, records, and training database. Monitors training database for expiration of training dates, assist with scheduling training.
Assists in preparing all notices required by OSHA, MSHA and other agencies.
Responsible for maintaining, updating, and distribution of safety related programs, including calculations for the safety incentive program.
Assist with AED rental, fire extinguisher, and First Aid inspection program.
Order and issue PPE and Safety Boot Voucher as needed.
An active role as a Safety Champion coordinator (scheduling, meeting minutes, follow-up items).
Manage driver safety programs including Motive camera monitoring, driver coaching, and driver training.
Assists with new employee safety orientation and other required safety training.
Assist the Safety Manager with administrative duties such as year-end reporting, review permit compliance and assisting with SDS management for all facilities.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Requirements
Safety experience is preferred.
Must have a state issues valid driver's license.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.
Strong communication skills are necessary.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to adjust to changing schedules and projects
Strong ability to research regulatory rules and regulations

Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
Must be able to work in confined spaces
