Job Description Summary
Responsible for own personal safety at all times
Maintain the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job
Maintain daily vehicle electronic inspections and reports (time sheets, mileage logs, DOT hours of service, etc.), assuring that each vehicle is safe and well maintained
Assure product quality to the best of the Driver's ability before leaving plants and in route to jobsites
Operate phone/tablet system to communicate to dispatchers of delivery status
Notify the Dispatcher of job site information and conditions
Maintain a clean truck to ensure safety and operational excellence
Load, unload, and secure as needed
Maintain radio contact with dispatch for scheduling changes
Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation
Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations
Ablity to work independently with attention to detail
Ability to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment
Ability to respond to stressful situations and customers in a professional, courteous manner
Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines
Excellent organizational skills
Able to work various times, hours, and at various locations
Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time. Typical shift is 8-12 hours.
Education/Experience
High school Diploma or equivalent preferred
Class A CDL required
2-5 Years of Flatbed Driving Experience
