The Contract Administrator is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses - are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.

Job Summary:



The Contracts Coordinator will have credentialing oversight of all external practitioners, external vendors, or any other individuals who enter the WellStar Health System. Responsible for ensuring all individuals route through the Workforce Eningeering division, and they are properly credentialed initially and throughout their tenure at WellStar. Functions as the system liaison for all contracting needs and requirements.
The coordinator will maintain and update supplemental staffing contracts and assist in the negotiations as applicable. Works closely with Legal in reviewing contract language to minimize risk for WellStar Health System.



Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:



Contractor Credentialing Ensures all contracted individuals entering the WellStar Health Sytem are properly credentialed based on their role and responsibility. Ensure contractors are tracked throughout their tenure with WellStar Works with department leadership on contractor requirements Ensures the proper chain of command has approved usage of contract labor Ensures contractors access to WellStar systems are terminated upon completion of assignment. 40%


Contract procurement and ongoing maintance management Responsible for establishing and maintaining all supplemental staffing contracts initiated by Workforce Eningeering. Assists in negiotation new contracts in the Workforce Engineering divisions purvue. Understanding of contracts utilized within the system Expert and liaison to department management on contracting procedures Works closely with Legal on contracts to ensure compliance and mitigating risk for WellStar. Ensures compliance with all legal standards, as well as WellStar policies and procedures Coordinates handling of expiring contracts 25%


Financial Analysis Reviews data related to external contractor utilization and identifies areas of focus and improvement. Assists department leaders in financial implications of contractor usage. vendor spend analysis for savings opportunities 15%


Customer Service Maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers Conducts annual customer service survey Responds to internal and external customer inquiries and follows up to make sure issues are resolved effectively and in a timely manner Develops internal and external communications 15%


Policy and Procedure Development Develops and maintains processes to assure timely processing of contracts and contractors Develops polices and procedures for standardization of contracting process and works with staff to ensure compliance 5%



Required Minimum Education:



Bachelors of Business or related field Required or
Associate's Degree Required or
High school diploma with 2-3 years contracting or business procurement experience. Required



Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Required Minimum Experience:



    Minimum 2 years working with contracts, contract credentialing processes; preferably in a healthcare setting Required



    Required Minimum Skills:



    Strong customer service skills, communication, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and advanced understanding of contract management.
    Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
    Independent and self motivated.
