POSITION SUMMARY:



Dayton Superior is seeking a Civil Construction Sales Professional to drive our Tennessee Alabama and Georgia Markets. This individual will be responsible for developing projects with contractors and distributor partners, while following commercial activity and generating sales. The candidate should reside in Atlanta, Nashville, Birmingham or nearby communities.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Self-starting, problem solving Sales Professional

  • Independently perform daily marketing functions to stimulate sales pipeline development

  • Conduct commercial sales activity - project tracking, bidding, quoting, closing, and servicing

  • Administrative duties such as opening accounts and payment collections will also be required.

  • Entering of activities and accounts through the Salesforce CRM Platform.

  • Familiarity with concrete forming and shoring is preferred.

  • Negotiation of large contracts with contractors as well as working with and through dealer partners.

  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications, conduct preliminary take-offs and apply our solutions accordingly

  • Implement a strategic business plan; identifying priority opportunities based on market conditions

  • Promote the best possible customer experience to grow customer satisfaction and repeat business

  • Responsible for territory profitability and financial success

  • Address and resolve claims, disputes, back charges, and credit issues responsibly and professionally

  • Penetrate various markets including highway, commercial/residential, mining, rail, military, etc., to increase sales and expand corporate recognition

  • Engage in segment thought leadership activities such as workshop presentations, sit on industry panels, assist in case history creation and participation in industry and trade associations.

  • Strive for continuous development and experience related to our products, the industry we serve and associated trends

  • Submit thought-based sales and order forecasts

  • Further responsibilities as assigned





    QUALIFICATIONS:



    • US citizenship or already permitted to work in the US

    • Reside in the prescribed geography, no relocation assistance provided

    • Technical degree or commensurate work experience

    • Heavy construction experience preferred

    • Familiar with standard construction documentation and processes

    • Independently motivated while exceling in team environments

    • Demonstrate a record of long-term commitment

    • Extensive "local" travel with sporadic over-nights required

    • Valid driver's license



      EDUCATION/EXPEREINCE:



      • BA/BS degree in Business Administration with concentration in marketing, engineering, or a related field, preferred

      • Minimum two years' experience in sales (inside or outside) preferable with a manufacturer

      Must be capable of walking extensively on jobsites, in factories, and through distribution centers.
