What to expect:
Martin Marietta is seeking a Principal Information Security Architect to join the Infrastructure and Security team to assist with day-to-day security operationsand play a larger role in specifying mid- and long-term strategy for Martin Marietta's information security program. This individual will have held titled information security roles in Fortune 1000 enterprises and, in those roles, have established strategic direction for information security programs while considering the threat landscape evolution and the company culture in which the programs operate.
A typical day for a Principal Information Security Architect may include:
Evolving an already-effective information security program to a consistently enterprise-class maturity level
Further unifying a portfolio of information security solutions to generate clear, accurate, corroborated, and actionable alerts of manageable volume
Considering how the evolution of cybersecurity standards like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS affects and may improve Martin Marietta's security posture
Ensuring that Martin Marietta's information security program mirrors changes in the regulatory environment, anticipating those changes as much as possible
Considering if and how further Security Operations Center capabilities can fit into Martin Marietta's information security environment
Developing, in a timely way, an understanding of what information security solutions and policies will dovetail successfully with Martin Marietta's corporate culture and those that will not
Recognizing when improvements to Martin Marietta's information security posture require the participation of other technical areas in Martin Marietta's infrastructure team, and be able to collaborate successfully with these groups
Replacing information security solutions that do not fit the preceding goals
Promoting relationships with vendors that can further the preceding goals
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 10+ years of information security experience in large enterprises and in titled information security roles
Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related discipline
Have an understanding of implementation of information security solutions such as SIEM, DLP, IPS, IDS and XDR to produce actionable threat intelligence while limiting false positives
Have previous successful implementation of SOC capabilities in large enterprises
Have strong understanding of LAN and WAN technologies and the Windows and UNIX operating systems
Have previous experience with SD-WAN and SSE technologies
Have management experience, though not required
Hold security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, and CISM, though not required
Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with colleagues and peers of variable levels of technology experience
