Role description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of our large enterprise- level digital solutions in North America. Managing a diverse customer, supplier and colleague stakeholder community, you will have a relentless commitment to delivery and demonstrable commercial awareness.

As the primary liaison between the client and delivery team, you will lead from the front fostering customer relationships and supporting the customer through the implementation of Arcadis' Enterprise Asset Management solutions. Managing the delivery teams, you will strive to deliver a quality solution within the agreed timescale and budget.

You will have the confidence and experience to communicate with stakeholders at a senior level within the Arcadis and customer organisations.

It is fundamental that you can utilize your project management experience in delivering multi-million-dollar projects to demonstrate control of your delivery team in delivering all aspects of the project in accordance with our contractual obligations including:

In addition to this, you are responsible for the coordination and supervision of your project team, maintaining project team accountability for tasks and the day-to-day delivery of the project. You also have a key role to play in the development of others, both within your project team and the wider business.

You will have or will develop an in-depth knowledge of the Arcadis project management processes, and as part of this senior role, your contribution may include supporting tender responses and as required, contribute to supporting colleagues who are focussed on account growth and new sales.

Role accountabilities:

We are hiring for a permanent Senior Programme Manager; however it should be noted that the successful candidate's first engagement will be to lead the delivery of our Enterprise Asset Management project with Amtrak, the national passenger railroad company of the United States.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable ability to oversee delivery to multiple Amtrak business workstreams - primarily Amtrak's Fleet and IMCS (Infrastructure) business units that will eventually see the Arcadis Mainline Rail (MLR) Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) desktop and mobile solution rolled out to ~ 7,000 end users.

The role-holder will be accountable to both our Amtrak Client Development Director and our Director of Program Management and have the ability to manage multiple technical and functional internal delivery teams. Each team has a workstream lead who reports into the Program Manager. Teams are a mixture of Arcadis employees and sub-contractors and are based in the US, Canada, UK, India and Serbia

You will be required to provide effective Amtrak and Arcadis Stakeholder Management and Communication via a series of weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with Amtrak and/or Arcadis on site and remotely.

You will work collaboratively with Amtrak's Digital Technology (DT) team who are the budget holders for the program and who provide interface to all Amtrak Technology related functions & necessary Amtrak corporate IT governance.

You will manage the interaction with Amtrak's 3 rd Party PMO, Guide House, who facilitate all meetings involving the Amtrak business.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of delivering large, complex, multi-year projects. Delivering large enterprise technology solutions into asset intensive organizations that are broadly like Amtrak is preferable but not essential.

Experience of heavy rail (passenger or freight) or metro rail clients or at least asset intensive organizations would be an advantage.

Excellent risk and issue management, and pro-active engagement with key stakeholders to mitigate those risks and issues where necessary, is a core part of the role, and the successful candidate will have an approach to project risk management that is informed by both best-practise and significant experience.

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $116,000 - $200,000.
