Role description:

Join our team as a Climate Risk Specialist and contribute to our mission of helping organizations navigate climate-related risks. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with 2+ years of experience in climate data analysis and hazard mitigation. As part of our dynamic team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct spatial analysis, and provide actionable insights to our clients. Our team is open to a candidate in a variety of cities throughout the U.S. for this hybrid position.

Role accountabilities:


  • Collaborate with diverse teams to collect, analyze, and interpret climate data from various sources.
  • Utilize GIS tools to conduct spatial analysis and assess climate-related risks at different scales.
  • Assist in developing algorithms and models to identify patterns and trends in climate data.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver insights based on data analysis.
  • Contribute to the advancement of methodologies and tools for climate risk assessment.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in climate science and technology.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geography, climatology, computer science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in climate data analysis, risk assessment, or hazard mitigation.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis and visualization.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and making a positive impact through work.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $76,000 - $114,000. Please not salary varies depending upon location of the individual hired
