Position Summary:

At Nephron, a Senior Accountant is responsible for daily and weekly processing of transactions to support the month-end close processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, and performing research and analysis on new or updated accounting standards as necessary. As a Senior Accountant, you will also be responsible for providing operational teams (warehouse, procurement, inventory control, marketing, etc.) with financial guidance and support

To be successful as a Senior Accountant, you should have a strong understanding of accounting concepts and how. they are practically applied within the business. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.

Primary Accountabilities:

Review and analyze transactions to ensure appropriate classification within the financial statements

Work collaboratively with all members of the accounting and finance departments to ensure complete, accurate, and efficient financial reporting is completed on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Understand current business scenarios and drivers to ensure the applicable impact on the financial statements is recorded appropriately.

Assist in the preparation of documentation for external auditors on an annual basis.

Assist operational teams with financial guidance and support.

Perform research and analysis on new and updated accounting standards as necessary.

Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.

Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Bl, and/or related financial systems.

' NetSuite experience preferred.
