Represents organization as a primary contact for specific projects and initiatives; communicates with internal and external customers and vendors at various levels

Typically provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area
Typically manages major / moderately complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products, at times acting as a team leader
Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
May have broad knowledge of project management
A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Design assembly and test equipment using CAD software (PTC Creo / SolidWorks)
Define design requirements, conduct design reviews, attend others reviews and provide feedback
Prototype and test designs throughout the development process
Support product design engineers with prototype builds, give input to design for assembly and test
Participate in manufacturing planning and analysis activities
Partner with outside suppliers to develop production equipment
Support qualification and manufacturing launch activities
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
BS Mechanical Engineering
7+ Years machine design experience
7+ Years CADsoftware experience (PTC Creo / SolidWorks)
Automation design experience
