SSI is seeking an experienced Logistician in the field of Navy Logistic Products with an understanding of Hull Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) equipment to join a new contract in late 2024. This position is primarily remote work, with occasional onsite meetings at the NSWC location in Philadelphia required.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with existing team members to assist in the development of monthly briefs and data calls pertaining to, but not limited to, HM&E Technical Manuals (TMs) & Planned Maintenance (PMS).
  • Assist in Identifying Requirements and Provide Recommendations to Senior Personnel.
  • Engage and coordinate with NSWCPD ILS Leads.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to provide input on ILS matters.
  • Investigate and analyze technical data to determine resolution for ILS deficiencies.
  • Develop redlines of logistic products based on Engineer and Subject Matter Expert input.
  • Prepare briefs and status reports for monthly meetings, summits, Strike Team meetings, etc.
  • Provide Task Planning Sheet input to support yearly requirements.
  • Track CDRL deliverables and ILS action items until completion.
Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Ten (10) years' experience in program level support of U.S. Navy logistics projects; to include seven (7) years' experience with Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems, and databases supporting obsolescence, technical manuals, tech specifications, technical drawings, provisioning and configuration and logistics change management.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Client tasking, ability to Assist in the Execution of Program / Platform Initiatives
  • Ability to investigate issues, coordinate data calls and inputs, develop reports and provide recommendations.
  • Ability to professionally represent NSWCPD Code 317 office as required.
  • High comfort level working with and around all military/organizational levels, clients, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Ability to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time.
  • General understanding of SCDs and/or ILS Certifications.
  • Secret Clearance
