The Plumber Assistant is an entry level position within the Residential Plumbing Division and is assigned to help the Plumbing Apprentice, Plumber, and Plumbing Supervisors. The incumbent’s primary duty is to set up and disassemble the job site daily to include setting up and taking down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures. The incumbent will also be responsible ensuring loading and delivering materials on the jobsite to the appropriate worksite as needed. 

The Plumber Assistant will also set out appropriate tools, ladders, etc. which would be used by the assigned plumber.  The incumbent must have knowledge of and be able to use a variety of hand-operated tools, both manual and electric, i.e. hole-hawk, hammer drill, chipping hammer, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, levels, and a tape measure.

• Must be dependable and able to work flexible hours when needed.


• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test and agree to comply with all company policies including the company’s drug-free workplace policy.


• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.


• Must be able to manually lift up to 50 pounds and able to push/pull up to 75 pounds.


• Must have excellent communication skills and able to follow directives.


• Must be able to use basic hand-operated tools, both manual and electrical.

When applicable, may be required to successfully pass a Level 2 background screening
