Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY
The Enrollment Services Officer coordinates and directs all College procedures that affect student registration and facilitates all enrollment services functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Establish and implement quality control measures pertaining to admissions, records, registration, financial aid, and testing/assessment.

Establish partnerships between Enrollment Services and Faculty, Administrative Services, Workforce Development, Contract Training and Continuing Education, and Institutional Research to ensure educational access and student success.

Coordinate and execute registration activities at all campuses within the designated College.

Coordinate and conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy of data for state funding.

Collaborate with the Institution’s Reporting official to interpret and analyze institutional guidelines ensuring compliance in state reporting.

Provide leadership in the development of testing, training and problem solving for the admission and registration components of the Student Information System.

Monitor all activities to ensure Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Provide admissions testing referrals for Texas Success Initiative (TSI).

Promote College retention by properly screening and providing information to advise students regarding the withdrawal process, Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements and Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills/State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (TAKS/STARR) reinstatement, and TSI regulatory compliance (i.e. check status at initial contact, set milestones and groups, enter test scores term activate, track data reports on audit exceptions).

Manage support staff functions to include selecting, hiring, training and supervision.

If applicable, input and approve time and labor data for Enrollment Assistant and part-time staff.

If applicable, complete the Performance Evaluation Document (PEP) if supervising full-time staff.

Approve refund petitions.

Ensure the security of processing transcripts and materials.

Provide leadership in the in-service and training of College personnel regarding admissions policies and procedures.

Prepare and manage the Enrollment Services budget.

Make recommendations regarding personnel or budgetary actions.

Prepare and distribute various enrollment reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5 years experience in College Admissions and Registration required

Licensing & Certification
  • Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
