Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Maintain trucks, trailers, and mobile equipment.
Professional and detail-oriented with good team skills.
Maintain a clean and organized shop.
Record repairs performed and labor hours on work orders.
Follow all safety programs and procedures.
Wear proper PPE as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
DOT qualified for trailer inspections.
Heavy Duty brake and suspension experience.
Knowledge of trailer diagnosis and repairs to include electrical, air brake systems, suspension, body repairs, and floor repairs
General repair experience of all types of Class A Trailers, Van, Flatbed, Step Deck, Gondola, End Dump and Lowboy Equipment Haulers.
Stable work history.
Preferred Qualifications:
Welding and Fabrication experience is a plus.
Hydraulic and Tarping Systems experience a plus.
