Project Title: National Network Timing Project

Location: TBDJob Description: The Research Assistant will work in direct coordination with the Institute for Homeland Security (IHS) project manager on this national-level project. With the overall goal of producing research and assessments of technical, physical, social, legal, legislative, and economic variables as they relate to public safety networks. Research and investigative tasks will come from facilitating project meetings in collaboration with university and government partners. Some travel may be required.

General Qualifications:The Sam Houston State University Institute for Homeland Security (IHS) in partnership with other major research institutions is seeking a motivated graduate student with a strong passion for reviewing data and literature in reference to a public safety project related to the Global Positioning System (GPS). Familiarity with resources and terminology in critical infrastructure study is highly desired, but not necessary. Strong investigative, interpretation, writing, and interpersonal skills are required. Knowledge of MS Office Suite including MS Outlook and MS Teams is required.
