Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


Other duties may be assigned.


 


Provide management and leadership to the territory sales managers, as well as supporting the technical group in sales related activities. 


 


Be the key point of contact for all Geotech customers with regards to order management, conflict resolution , projections, and record keeping.


 


Build relationships with key accounts, drive sales and margins to plan or above and analyze sales data to make sound decisions. .


 


Make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop  market strategies & goals for each product and service.


 


Obtain and coordinate data and information from staff and member groups. Research and develop lists of potential customers.


 


Evaluate product & service marketability in terms of customers’ needs and Volume.                                                                                                                    


Follow-up on sales leads and making cold calls on potential customers,  establishing & maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales, understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.


 


Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations of sales personnel to develop and manage sales and service programs.


 


Meet or consult with department heads to plan advertising services


 


Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.


 


Serve as key intermediary with the scheduling department.


 


Analyze margins and setups – troubleshoot low/negative margin items.


 


Manage Geotech  Trademarks.


 


 


 


Utilize CRM as the primary customer relationship interface, including but not limited to: maintaining up-to-date contact information, all pertinent customer interaction, quote request and lead generation activities.  Maintain accurate sales and marketing records.


 


Abide by, enforce and participate in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all company safety standards and regulations.

Education/Experience:


Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university, or equivalent;  and  over four (4) years up to and including ten (10) years’ experience in sales and marketing for a manufacturing organization;  or any combination of education, experience and training.


Language Ability:


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

The primary work location for this job is in a private office. Responsibilities of this job may require evening and weekend work in response to customer and business needs. It also requires regular travel for sales and marketing activities.
