Job Description:

CreditSights is currently seeking a Business Analyst based out of our NYC office.

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst to support our Global Head of Business Strategy and Head of Leveraged Finance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product strategy, analyze market and business trends, and measure the impact of our products. Additionally, the role will involve managing and responding to ad hoc requests from across the firm.

We'll Count on You To:

  • Collaborate with Product and Tech Teams :

    • Work closely with product managers and the tech team to align product strategy with business objectives.
    • Participate in product development meetings, providing strategic insights and financial implications.
    • Assist in the roadmap planning process and ensure strategies are data-driven and customer-focused.
  • Business Trend Analysis :

    • Monitor industry trends and conduct market research to inform strategic decisions.
    • Analyze readership patterns to identify opportunities for growth and increased engagement.
    • Evaluate competitor strategies and market dynamics to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting :

    • Support the Leveraged Finance team with financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
    • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management.
    • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic investment decisions and business cases.
  • Cross-Functional Communication and Ad Hoc Support :

    • Facilitate communication between the business strategy, finance, product, and tech teams.
    • Ensure alignment of strategic initiatives across different functions within the organization.
    • Prepare and present regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and results.
    • Respond to and manage ad hoc requests from various departments across the firm, providing timely and accurate support as needed.
  • What You Need to Have:


    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business strategy, management consulting, or finance.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional teams.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as cross-functionally.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and experience with financial software and tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines, including handling unexpected ad hoc requests with efficiency and precision.

    What Would Make You Stand Out:


    • MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.

    FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $115,000 and $125,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
