Location: Knoxville TN
Hours: 10p - 6:30am
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Perform a variety of laboratory tests throughout the plasma processing pipeline, using both manual and automated methods.
Analyze blood samples from donors to ensure they meet eligibility criteria for plasma donation. This may involve testing for infectious diseases, blood type, and other factors.
Conduct tests on materials used in plasma processing to confirm sterility, purity, and compatibility.
Perform quality control testing on plasma throughout different stages of manufacturing and distribution.
Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
Troubleshoot issues with laboratory procedures and analyze test results to identify any abnormalities.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures and results.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and aseptic techniques in a laboratory setting.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Associate's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, medical laboratory science) preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in basic laboratory procedures and equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
