Job Description:

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Salary: $95,000.00 USD Annually - $115,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Large manufacturing company is looking for a Controls Engineer for their facility in western Michigan


Relocation assistance is available.



***Candidates must have food or consumer goods manufacturing experience with PLC programming.




Details ~



- Execute Electrical, Instrumentation, and controls (IEC) projects against commitments (cost, schedule, and performance) while adhering to company's Enterprise Project Management (EPM) principles


- Proactively monitor and maintain plant control systems including: network health, controller functionality, obsolesce management


- Establish and maintain electrical, automation, and controls related standards


- Coach and train plant maintenance team members on electrical automation topics



Requirements ~



- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field


- 3+ years of experience with electrical control system programming, electrical system design, power distribution, project management, and equipment installations.


- Fundamental knowledge and familiarity of NEC, NFPA70E, and electrical theory.



- 3+ years of experience with PLC electrical control system programming, electrical system design, power distribution, project management, and equipment installations.



- Experience with processing and packaging applications



- Programming experience with Rockwell Logix 5000 & Allen Bradley PLCs, motion control, Panelview HMIs, and GE Ifix.



- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
