Manager, Operations - Strategic Partnerships, Seller Strategy & Operations (Local Marketplace)

Are you a builder who gets excited by the opportunity to help define the future of new businesses? We're looking for a relationship savvy, strategic operator to help drive and define key segments of our seller acquisition strategy. This role will entail working across multiple internal teams and external partners to acquire, launch, and expand relationships with strategic partners and enterprise sellers, and will be pivotal in helping to unlock the full potential of our new Walmart Local Marketplace program.

You will be the driving force behind our Channel Partnerships strategy, responsible for identifying, launching, and growing relationships with strategic partners who can help us unlock, maximize, and expand our Local seller base to drive maximum revenue potential within the Local Marketplace program.

You will work across diverse, internal teams (Channel Partnerships, Walmart Marketplace, Walmart GoLocal, Local Marketplace Business Development, Product/Engineering) to unlock existing Walmart Channel Partners and third-party Enterprise Sellers for our new local use case, while also driving a seller acquisition strategy to capture new, high-value partners / sellers Walmart is not yet working with today.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for External Partners (and potentially sellers) and will be responsible for working across their teams and ours to ensure they are onboarded and managed with success. Your work will include driving technical systems integrations across product and engineering, and working across business teams to ensure we are driving towards maximizing their revenue potential across the Walmart platform holistically.

This role will be critical in unlocking the full potential of 'local' for the Walmart Marketplace broadly and is a great fit for an analytical and strategic self-starter, and someone who is highly adept at relationship-building and driving outcomes across diverse internal and external teams.

You'll sweep us off our feet if...

    • You have 4-8+ years of related experience in sales operations, business operations, consulting, revenue operations, and / or strategy and operations roles within high-growth startups / marketplace businesses - experience in strategic partnerships a plus!

    • You have a strong background in strategic planning, decision-making, and process-building, and are comfortable operating in nascent / ambiguous business environments

    • You excel in building and managing cross-functional partnerships and are comfortable leading initiatives across various functions and stakeholders

    • You have a demonstrated track record of driving initiatives across diverse internal / external teams

    • You are an analytical thinker and can leverage data to derive actionable insights and drive business outcomes

    • You are a strategic problem solver and self-starter, adept at breaking down complex issues, formulating clear recommendations, and driving outcomes independently

    • You are a builder with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for process building and optimization within startups teams and environments

    • You are familiar and interested in the ecommerce landscape and last-mile delivery space, excited to be a leader in the retail tech industry

You'll make an impact by:

  • Implementing and driving a strategic framework to maximize the GMV opportunity Channel Partners provide: identify a process for identifying the highest potential Channel Partners and work alongside internal teams to execute a tactical plan to acquire, onboard, and grow those partners by unlocking high-value sellers quickly and scalably, ultimately driving GMV growth back to our program

  • Supporting strategic, external accounts and serving as a trusted advisor: serve as a strategic consultant to external partners, including developing joint business plans to include strategies, tactics, and objectives to drive growth. Serve as their "quarterback," working across teams to address pain points, solve issues, and implement growth initiatives.

  • Oversee business performance and Go-to-Market: lead annual and quarterly business planning and performance tracking for strategic channel partners. Continually drive and refine our go-to-market operation for the enterprise segment, working to unlock maximum GMV growth via external partners and enterprise sellers at large.

  • Working cross-functionally: collaborate with legal, product/engineering, the central channel partnerships teams, and adjacent business teams (Walmart GoLocal, Walmart Marketplace) to deliver best-in-class channel partner and seller experiences and maximize the seller acquisition / seller growth opportunity for the local use case. Build, maintain, and enhance effective internal and external partnerships through professional accepted and ethical outcomes.

  • Autonomous Work: take ownership and be responsible for management of the above and action with limited manager oversight.

Benefits & Perks:

Beyond competitive pay, you can receive incentive awards for your performance. Other great perks include 401(k) match, stock purchase plan, paid maternity and parental leave, PTO, multiple health plans, and much more.
