The Patient Support Representative (PSR) will work in conjunction with the Community Outreach Specialist, Intake, Authorization and Scheduling Teams to establish and cultivate positive referral source relationships and ensure appropriate referrals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborates and assists intake, sales, authorization, and scheduling teams as appropriate
Collects and organizes referral information
Ensures referrals contain required elements
Assists the Home Health or Hospice team in timely initiation of care by completing and delivering referrals timely
Maintains current access and in-depth knowledge of online health system portals (as applicable to agency)
Make joint, specific calls on key customers with Community Outreach Specialist as assigned
Assists COS in vetting/accepting/declining referrals from any referral source
Assists COS in communication to and from referral source
Submit all required documents and paperwork timely
Take calls after hours and on weekends, if needed
Facilitates a smooth and timely admission to Home Health and/or Hospice services
Complies with all State and Federal regulations including Home Health and/or Hospice eligibility standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not
Healthcare marketing experience, preferably in hospice, home health and home care
Ability to deal tactfully with customers and the
Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations
Must have a valid driver's license and current automobile
Ability to manage payer mix of
Demonstrates autonomy, organization, efficient time & territory management, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job
Efficient time management and territory management
Possess strong computer skills and knowledge of office technology - g., email and internet services, facsimile machines, telecommunication devices, etc.
