Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a Exports Intern from June 2024 - August 2024 at our corporate headquarters in Hiram, OH. Job Responsibilities

• Review current GLC export policy and services offered to GLC customers and summarize current offerings.
• Provide feedback and risk analysis of current customer exports and use of Incoterms.
• Recommend updates to the GLC export policy, if necessary.
• Create training related to current export policy for sales team members.
• Research potential direct market exports for future GLC expansion.
• Research and provide analysis as it relates to market options and export requirements of whey products from the US.
• Support regulatory, sales, and legal teams with customer required export documentation as requested.
• All GLC interns are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Required Education and Experience

• Current college student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business related field.
• Year in school: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
• Only students enrolled in the Ohio Export Internship Program (OEIP) will be considered for this role.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship both now and in the future.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work well independently.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
