Job Description:

MetroPower, Inc. is seeking experienced Electrical Superintendents for several large projects scheduled to start in 2023. The superintendent must have a proven track record of bringing projects in on time and on budget. This position requires a decisive leader with a passion for hands-on work in outdoor environments and a strong drive for construction project management work. Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.


The ideal candidate will provide overall on-site administrative and technical management on medium to large-sized construction projects ranging from $8M - $10M in electrical contracts. This position will supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in the layout, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. Superintendents work closely with other trades to optimize the productivity, safety, and quality of the project and along with the project manager, complete the project safely, within budget, and on time.



Job Duties

• Effectively use all resources and lead/oversee craft workers assigned to specific areas of responsibility.
• Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, and recommend/implement correction actions as required. Conduct accident investigations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc.
• Motivate others to achieve objectives. Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, etc.):
• Effectively plan and organize the work for which you are responsible.
• Keep daily job journal detailing actual events.
• Plan ahead for materials, tools, and information.
