Position Purpose:

We are seeking an outside consultative sales professional (Account Manager) that can continue our customer growth in the assigned area for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal services. This job requires a sales background that can focus on developing strong customer partnerships to aid their waste identification, regulatory compliance, disposal choices, sustainable options, and cost minimization. Core responsibilities are to conquer a territory budget through current base customers and closing additional new businesses. Keys to success include prospecting new leads, onboarding new customers, maintaining strong relationships with base customers, and finding creative solutions and services to make customers' waste management needs better. A typical day will be set by you and will focus on new customer opportunities: lead follow-up, offering quotes, communication of services, completing bids or follow-up with base customers: service reviews, contract reviews, new waste streams available, and general checkup. The day will include travel to customer locations or communication via phone, email, or video meetings.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • A typical day will be set by you and will focus on new customer opportunities: lead follow-up, offering quotes, communication of services, completing bids or follow-up with base customers: service reviews, contract reviews, new waste streams available, and general checkup.

  • The day will include travel to customer locations or communication via phone, email, or video meetings.

  • Manage the customer base and growth in Montana.

  • Gain additional customers by offering Veolia a large range of service offerings.

  • Create effective and professional presentations and appropriate quotations for existing and prospective customers to identify, sell, and develop beneficial long-term relations.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:


  • Must have a Bachelor's degree.

  • Prior sales experience in the environmental industry with a focus on waste disposal.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


  • Environmental background, prefer waste disposal or management knowledge.

  • Strong desire to provide quality customer service.

  • Ability to effectively present information and to negotiate effectively.

  • Sales skills with the ability to close new customers and maintain long-term base customer partnerships.

  • Computer proficient with CRM, Microsoft, or Google platforms.

  • Strong team player.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal daily guidance.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines.

  • Strong desire to provide quality customer service.

  • Ability to effectively present information and to negotiate effectively.

  • Understanding of VNA operational facilities in demonstrating to clients the high level of managing and maintaining hazardous waste in accordance with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.

  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:


  • 8 hour shift.

  • Monday to Friday with the ability to commute.
