Summary:
The MRI Technologist I perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards
Position Responsibilities:
Operates MRI Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.
Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam.
.Prepares patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documents on appropriate worksheets
Interviews patients for a complete medical history
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or active enrollment in a ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program required.
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire
CPR certification required through AHA
