Position Summary

Perform functions to provide technical support for company products and software to end users, distributors, and regional sales and support staff.

What You'll Do:

1.       Provide technical support, such as product capabilities and specifications, to customers, distributors and sales support staff.

2.       Assist customers, distributors and sales support staff with product applications, troubleshooting, and specific product recommendations.

3.       Review new products, product specifications, engineering, and product changes from Japan to determine correctness of the changes and to keep abreast of new products.

4.       Communicate with other MAC departments to stay abreast of new products and latest advancement of products.

5.       Review product catalogs and bulletins for accuracy of performance specifications.

6.       Represent MAC at show exhibitions as required by management

7.       Maintain reference libraries of product manuals. When requested assist customers and MAC staff with obtaining copies of the reference materials.

8.       Document and report monthly support activities.

9.       Attend sales training meetings and product knowledge sessions as required.

10.   Compile Knowledgebase articles and other documentation as required.

11.   Generate sales leads and submit to appropriate sales region/department for follow-up.

12.   Demonstrate technical proficiency in Small Tools and SPC product groups.

Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

 

Work Environment:  Office Environment.

 

Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. 

Monday – Friday 8.5 hour shift between the hours of 7:30AM – 7:00PM CST with a one hour lunch period.

 

 Travel: Travel as needed to support Field Service and Sales.  

Required Education and Experience:  Two-year degree or educational equivalent; Two years’ experience in a technical customer support role.

 

Additional Qualifications:  Strong mechanical and math aptitude
