The Outpatient Therapist (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) - South Cobb Psychiatry - Austell, GA is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses - are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.

Located in south Cobb County, Wellstar Cobb Hospital is a 382-bed hospital serving a diverse west Atlanta suburban population. Wellstar Cobb offers a continuum of psychiatric services, including a free-standing 32-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit, a 7-day per week consultation-liaison psychiatry service, and a new outpatient psychiatric clinic.
The Behavioral Health Consultant provides services in an ambulatory clinic located on the Wellstar Cobb Hospital campus. (S)He will work alongside outpatient psychiatrists, and psychologists, - all working collaborative to provide world-class psychiatric care to a heterogenous population of patients with primary psychiatric and/or substance use disorders.
Overview of Duties/Responsibilities
This is a full-time 40 hour per week position.
Required Minimum Education:
Experience working in the ambulatory setting or in a hospital setting is preferred.
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited School of social work is required.
Master's degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program is required.
Current Georgia License as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC is required.
Three years' experience in a health-related field, mental health, and behavioral health is required for this position.
