The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Pediatric ENT - Marietta, GA is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses - are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.

Wellstar Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our new and growing Pediatric Ear Nose & Throat practice. Wellstar Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat provides world class Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology care close to home with office locations in Marietta, Holly Springs, Vinings, Douglasville and Roswell. This APP will work primarily out of our Marietta office less than 5 minutes from the campus of Kennestone Hospital and typically requires working with patients ages newborn to 18 in a clinic setting, and eventually assisting with ED/IP consults during business hours.
This is an opportunity work closely with a multi-disciplinary care team of Fellowship trained Pediatric Otolaryngologists, Pediatric Audiologists, our General ENT colleagues and Wellstar Pediatrics, our team of well-trained Pediatricians, Pediatric Specialists, Pediatric Anesthesiologists, Child Life Specialists, and support staff. Team PEDS treats every child as if they are our very own, and as if they are the only patient we are serving.
In this role you will:
Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient's medical record in ambulatory practice. Clinical responsibilities require thorough attention to detail.
Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
Partner with supervising physicians and Audiologists to ensure all patients receive well-coordinated care to treat ENT complications appropriately.
Qualifications
Must hold a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (with RNFA or willing to obtain within 6 months) or Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (with RNFA or willing to obtain within 6 months)
ACLS/BLS required
Previous ENT/ED/ Pediatrics experience preferred
