CNC Machine Operator II (Temporary) at Carlisle Interconnect Technologies

Job Description:

SUMMARY


Receives direction from the Machine Shop Area Supervisor; his/her primary responsibilities are to operate machines; and complete all tasks assigned according to the Router and Blueprint. Comply with all Machine Shop Processes; including but not limited to all WI, (Work Instruction) MI, (Manufacturing Instruction), and OP, (Operating Procedures). All tasks should be performed accurately and timely.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


* Accept responsibility for decisions, actions, and mistakes.
* Receive Machine Shop Paper and take responsibility for operating machine.
* Operate multiple machines and check machined parts per drawing with no assistance. Adjust offsets to hold nominal conditions.
* Maintain workflow to standard (Productivity shift).
* Follow dispatch list and meet schedule.
* Understand Blueprints and interpret geometrical tolerances.
* Complete all coordinating documents, First Piece Inspection, In-Process inspection form, MSP, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, (OEE), and daily log.
* Troubleshoot and evaluate machining problems. Communicate discrepancies clearly and effectively.
* Ability to use all inspection equipment essential to the task.
* Support the Quality System by promoting compliance to the company's Quality Manual, procedures, and policies.
* Performing Autonomous Maintenance and 6s tasks.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce cycle time, improve production methods, and improve equipment performance, and quality of product.
* Maintains a clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
* Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.

SALARY INFORMATION


In compliance with CA state law, the hourly range for this position is $23-25 per hour. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Carlisle Interconnect Technologies reviews factors such as but not limited to responsibilities of the position, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal pay equity, as well as market considerations when extending an offer.


QUALIFICATIONS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Two or more years as a machinist using CNC equipment or equivalent training, preferred.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Good understanding of shop math.
* Able to read micrometers, calipers, and quality inspection tools.
* Hand dexterity, coordination, and accuracy.
* Ability to communicate with Lead and Supervisor.
* Attentive to detail.
* LANGUAGE SKILLS
* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


* Combined sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day to accomplish tasks.
* Ability to sit or stand for long periods when performing and reporting on tasks
* Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
* Reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching or stooping on a daily basis.
* Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
