We are seeking a full-time Strategic Programs Manager in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for serving Garmin's executive team as a cross-functional leader and is responsible for the development and implementation of corporate global level, strategic programs to address critical business needs such as Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) or similar corporate initiatives.
Essential Functions
Establishes program objectives with Executive sponsors, organizes programs and projects, and leads a cross functional team through global implementation
Provides regular program updates to Executive Sponsors, Program Steering Committee and Functional Teams to ensure all parties are aware of project milestones, risks, changes and key deliverables
Demonstrates a deep and working understanding of Garmin's business and connectivity of departmental interdependencies
Utilizes advanced program management skills to organize, plan and direct program schedules, budgets and risk mitigation actions and to ensure communication of scope, milestones, risks and decisions.
Leads effective meetings to drive cross-functional, global team effort toward program success while identifying/resolving conflicts within team and escalates to senior management as necessary
Manages coordination/communication of changes with key internal/external stakeholders
Develops/implements a program of continuous improvement throughout the program life cycle to ensure cost, quality and customer satisfaction goals are defined and achieved
Develops policies and procedures, and performs training as appropriate
Improves program management tools and standard processes for Garmin businesses
Reviews new programs to ensure that business requirements and capabilities are fully understood, communicated and approved by all key stakeholders
Completes complex tasks and/or projects with limited initial definition including taking conceptual ideas/projects and formulating a plan of action or work breakdown for implementation
Regularly demonstrates creativity and ingenuity in development of reliable solutions to a wide range of complex problems while using sound problem solving techniques

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree in the disciplines of Business Administration, Management or Operations AND a minimum of 10 years relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to lead a team across multiple sites and globally to successfully execute projects of any scale or complexity
Advanced understanding of engineering, development, production and operations issues as they relate to program management, including the ability to successfully identify and mitigate risks
Must be detailed-oriented and possess the ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment to effectively meet deadlines
Proven excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
Demonstrated success in bringing together cross functional teams for effective problem resolution
Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
Master's Degree in the disciplines of Engineering, Management, Operations, Supply Chain or related field
Strong working knowledge of industry standards, contract terms, conditions, mechanisms, and procedures
Global program development and program management experience
