We have an opening for a Lead Product Designer who will develop the experience design discipline within the organization and deliver superior user experiences to achieve business objectives and successful client outcomes. You will apply UX and UI principles and methodologies to enhance product design through user research and testing and solve complicated business problems. As an expert in your field, you will elevate the design acumen within the organization, ensure the adoption of best practices, and mentor peers.
*This is a hybrid role with onsite \"team time\" at least 2 days a week from our Boston office.
What you'll do:
Lead the development of UI and UX design best practices, templates, and trainings to increase design knowledge and standards for the organization
Advise senior leaders on UI and UX initiatives and strategies
Collaborate with teams to create user-centered product designs, requirements, workflows and strategies
Create user experiences and interfaces for product prototypes in keeping with industry standards and best practices
Translate user needs and business requirements into compelling experiences
Create user journeys, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes across multiple devices and interfaces
Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design intent
Recommend metrics to define, manage, and measure design success and prioritize enhancements
Collaborate with leadership to support team member onboarding and growth
Who you are:
7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise designing solutions for software, web applications or mobile native apps
5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise using industry standard design and prototyping tools to create low- and high-fidelity designs and define the work, such as Figma or Adobe XD
Bachelor's degree or equivalent expertise in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Information Architecture, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors or a related field
Master's degree in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Information Architecture, Psychology, Human Computer-Interaction (HCI), Human Factors or a related field preferred
Demonstrated expertise defining the success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) used to measure design effectiveness
Demonstrated experience influencing, negotiating with and gaining buy-in from stakeholders, including senior leadership
Demonstrated ability to develop an experience design discipline for an organization, including creation and facilitation of trainings, establishing design standards and tool enablement
