Job Description
Chronicle Heritage is seeking to hire an Accounting Assistant for our Phoenix, Arizona office. This position will primarily have responsibility for handling all aspects of processing expense reports, reconciling company credit cards, timesheet management, scanning related documents, and other accounting duties as necessary. The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to handle confidential information, as well as have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and provide excellent customer service.
Hire Type: Full-time (hourly) Schedule: 40 hours, Monday–Friday (flexible schedule) Location: Hybrid: work from home or Onsite – Phoenix, AZ
Responsibilities
Process credit card charges twice a month.
Process reimbursements for payroll through expense reports.
Manage all company credit cards.
Daily input of ACH payments, process checks and deposit at bank.
Work closely with billing department applying credits and entering write offs.
Process mail and scan all AP invoices for entry.
Handle onboarding employees on Sage and updating the system to align with changes.
Write detailed instructions for accounting to distribute to the company.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school Diploma
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting-based position
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred Skills
Associates degree or higher in business
Experience with Sage Intacct or other project-based accounting software
Understanding of bookkeeping functions
Experience in cultural resources, architectural, or engineering industry
Proficient analysis and problem-solving skill
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadline
Ability to work with minimum direct supervision
Strong work ethic
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Exceptional attention to detail, very organized, and able to meet deadlines
