This is a hands-on managerial position, responsible for ensuring the facility mechanical, electrical, grounds, and utility systems are maintained in good working order in accordance with company, state, and federal regulations.
In this position, you will be responsible for supervising and scheduling the maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, and laundry staff.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge in all Life and Safety regulations as set forth by CMS, HHS, CDPH, OSHA, and other governing bodies related to Skilled Nursing Facilities in California.
Candidate needs to have strong experience in performing life safety rounds and inspections as well as keeping documentation current to comply with regulations as outlined in CMS K-Tag requirements.
This position will be responsible for training staff in the standard precautions and procedures of infection control, isolation, fire, and safety.
Candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge and in-depth experience in maintaining and repairing facility equipment including: plumbing, HVAC, emergency generators, electrical, appliances, structural, landscaping, and overall maintenance functions required in a skilled nursing facility.
Effective communication skills are essential in this position; therefore, good English written/verbal skills are requirement. Candidate will need to have good experience and skills using Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) to collaborate effectively with staff and management.
The primary goal of this position is to create a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients, visiting families, and staff by maintaining the facility a survey-ready condition
