Lean Coach/Business Processes

Orlando, Florida, USA (Onsite)

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Lean Coach in Orlando, FL. In this role you will bring Lean expertise to the different functions in Operations to deliver premium services to our customers (Quality, Costs, Turnaround Time). You’ll have the opportunity to be part of global transformation initiatives in an international and multicultural environment. While working closely with the Thales Group Lean network, you’ll support organizational changes, operational improvement and digitalization of our key processes from suppliers to customers. This role will focus on defining, implementing and maintaining business processes to meet business objectives as well as analyzing and identifying opportunities for business process improvements.

Key Areas of Responsibility


  • Define the Lean methodologies for the Orlando Repair Site in collaboration with Shop, Supply Chain and Process Engineering to support and achieve Performance objectives.


  • Assess Lean maturity and lead accordingly the deployment of Lean practices to support transformation with Orlando Executives, Middle management and team members.


  • Animate, coordinate and lead the improvement initiatives for Orlando Repair Site to include Facility implantation, Level Pulled Flow, Andon, Dojo, Gembas, Team Lean animation (SIM), Problems solving, Kaizens


  • Develop series of actionable KPIs to evaluate and monitor progress of initiatives & projects.


  • Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes and risks


  • Evaluate current business processes including financial impact, and recommend solutions for improvement and making processes more managebale


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study with a minimum of 5-8+ years of comparable work experience or Master’s degree in a relevant field of study with 4+ years of comparable work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Minimum of 5 years of Lean experience working in Supply Chain and operational Production, Repair and/or Distribution


  • Strong experience with Lean Principles and Methodologies. Experience with implementing them in Industrial organization (such as but not limited to Level Pulled Flow, Visual Management, Problem Solving, Team Lean animation…)


  • Experience with training and coaching large audiences


  • Exceptionally strong communication skills with the ability to work with senior management and Operations teams
