Job Summary
Performs work associated with the operation of assigned mechanical equipment and product packaging activities in a manufacturing environment.
Schedule: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
Job Duties
- Operate assigned mechanical equipment
- Move parts to be sorted from staging area
- Follow parts sorting schedule and expedite parts flow to reflect changing production needs
- Report completed transactions into tracking system
- After sorting process is complete, package product into packaging cartons
- Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
- Perform work under direct supervision
- Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
- Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter, including use of basic hand tools and simple gages
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- Powered industrial equipment certification preferred
Competencies/ Skills
- Ability to interpret work instructions
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions, including blue prints and production order schedules
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to use vision sorting computer system
