Provide electrical support for various areas in the mill through installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical equipment. Answer calls and ensure continuous operations of production lines. Perform preventive maintenance functions. Develop and implement projects for continuous improvement.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in electrical maintenance. Equivalent electrical training or military experience will be considered
Knowledge in power distribution, motor control centers, instrumentation, automated systems, PLC and HMI programming, and drives troubleshooting in a manufacturing facility
Preferred Qualifications:
Two-year degree in electrical maintenance technology and two or more years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance
Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE PLCs
Experience with Wonderware, WinCC, and other HMI systems
Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic principles
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
