*Hybrid- 3 days onsite; 2 days remote
*Salary range $48K-$60K
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate Ocean Export shipments from origin, shipper, truckers, and steamship lines
Arrange pickup and delivery for inland transportation
Track the shipment to ensure it has reached the final destination
Verifies shipment weight and volumes
Calculates rates with the ability to convert pricing and rates
Obtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportation
Supports local sales efforts with timely responses to emails and rate requests
Maintain communications with the customers, carries and vendors
Responsible for filling Pre alerts to destination office
Handles the full process from A-Z
Manage conflict resolutions with clients, vendors, agents
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
4+ Years in Freight Forwarding industry
Ability to communicate and provide great customer service
Being able to work independently and part of a team
Knowledge of local and international carriers and routes
Geographical competence
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Great organizational skills
Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset
Ability to navigate and work efficiently using TMS software (paperless environment)
Qualifications:
Four-year college degree and/or 4 years international freight forwarding experience with HS Diploma
Exceptional Customer Service skills (verbal and written)
Good organizational skills and ability to learn and retain information to build core industry related skills.
Must know how to use and organize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (Cargowise enterprise system REQUIRED)
