We are currently seeking for an HR coordinator for a large logistics/freight forwarding company located in Carson, CA.
100% Onsite
Salary: $27hr with an increase within 3 months
Must be Bilingual Japanese
Responsibilities:
Assist in the recruitment process including background checks. Post jobs on recruiting board and/or SharePoint.
Prepare documents for new hires and assist orientation
Maintain employee personnel files. Process promotions and department transfer as they occur
Performs benefits administration including claim resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
Administer Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance Programs including ACA compliance.
Administer leave programs including FMLA, Personal, Medical, Jury Duty, and other LOA.
Prepares enrollment packages to employees one month prior to their eligibility.
Communicate and report any payroll information change, Tax information and other base data required for each payroll-to-payroll outsourcing company POSI timely manner
Updates company and employee information as needed.
Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes minutes of meetings related to HR and Planning (including web-conference).
Assist and support HR and Planning Department.
Maintains good communication with management, office staff members and outside contacts
Requirements:
Must be bilingual Japanese
Bachelor degree preferred
Must have minimum 2 years experience in similar role.
Knowledge of State/federal labor laws
Great communication and written skills
Strong attention to detail.
