Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and real estate management, with specific expertise in managing finances across multiple entities and utilizing Yardi software.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the financial operations of multiple entities within our real estate portfolio.
Manage all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and investors.
Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external auditors and tax advisors.
Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management in decision-making processes.
Collaborate with property management teams to optimize financial performance and achieve budgetary goals.
Utilize Yardi software to streamline accounting processes, generate reports, and analyze property performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Proficiency in Yardi software is required
