Job Title: Manager Electric Control Center Programs and Projects

Location: Augusta, ME


The base salary range for this position is $97,504 to $126,755 and is dependent upon experience.



Job Summary



Implementation lead for Centralized Operations initiative within the CMP Energy Control Center. This initiative is focused on developing a contemporary distribution control center with responsibility and control of planned and unplanned work and capable of providing 24/7 support to field personnel.


Additionally, this position will support the CMP ECC management team on projects & initiatives as required to meet business objectives.



Major Roles & Responsibilities



  • Use a structured methodology to develop and implement change management plans for the ECC centralized operations initiative including transfer of control jurisdiction, centralized planning process, and associated processes to achieve reliability and efficiency benefits.

  • Document key decisions, risks/issues, and mitigating actions.

  • Provide updates on deliverables, risks, and issues to initiative stakeholders.

  • Establish and monitor initiative milestones and deliverables.

  • Identify and resolve issues, coordinating across cross-functional teams as required to develop & implement new systems and processes.

  • Make data-driven decisions associated with resourcing, operational processes, and task prioritization.

  • Support the development of business cases, benefits tracking, and KPIs associated with centralized operations projects.

  • Draft and review business process documentation as required for new business processes (including cross-business coordination).

  • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs associated with new systems and processes.




Job Requirements



Education & Experience Required:


  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years relevant experience required.

  • Experience with delivering business change and managing complex stakeholder groups.

  • Knowledge of control room / electric operations business processes.



Skills/Abilities:


  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.

  • Change management certification or designation desired.

  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • General understanding of electrical networks and associated Avangrid operational processes (e.g. Switching & Tagging procedures, safety management procedures, etc) used in both Transmission and Distribution operations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
