Pay: $22.63 - $22.88 / hour (total)

($21.88 / hour + $0.75 or $1.00 / hour shift differential)

Role: Production Operator (2nd & 3rd Shift)

You will perform a range of tasks in the production of a transformer, including:

  • Reading, understanding and interpreting Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, schematics and specifications to complete assignments with limited supervision.
  • Moving coils to workstations and shrink wrapping windings for storage.
  • Using wooden blocking, cooling ducts and other insulation materials; Framing and top-yoking active part of transformer.
  • Properly identifying and calculating lengths of cable for all lead runs; preparing leads as well as cable assemblies; making all necessary connections and routing and tying off leads.
  • Verifying correct installation of insulation and lead, ensuring all clearances are maintained and all crimped, bolted and/or brazed connections are installed properly.
  • Using overhead crane with safe lifting practices.

Requirements:


Basic:

  • Ability to work evening or night shift.
  • Able to work limited over-time as needed.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, schematics and specifications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and computations.
  • Resides or intends to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington, Missouri.
  • Has current work authorization for employment within the United States.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in basic English.
  • Must complete: Job interview, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Safety Sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC)
