Job Purpose
Job Responsibilities
Manage the tax operations for a global enterprise. Will be responsible for annual and quarterly tax provisions including interaction with external consultants regarding review of work product.
Manage effective rate reconciliations and assist with financial statement disclosures
Assist with identification of significant tax reporting and compliance issues and communicate them with upper management.
Manage Tax Compliance required for US tax filings including Forms 1118 and 5471's as well as develop and manage overseas compliance function with local controllers and tax advisers.
Assist Corporate tax with federal audit management and manage all state and local audits including sales tax audits
Develop and keep updated, with assistance from internal audit and external advisers as well as guidance from Corporate tax, the required Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for the tax group.
Manage Transfer pricing initiatives for the worldwide global group
Heavy involvement with VP of tax regarding international tax planning and research including meeting and discussions with internal and external personnel
Interaction (with significant support from VP Tax/Treasurer) with Treasury regarding effective cash repatriation strategies for overseas entities within global group
Participate in Special Projects as required
Manage, counsel and mentor professional staff as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
Advanced Degree or CPA preferred
10-15 years Professional Tax experience including a mix in public and private industry.
Significant understanding of U.S GAAP income tax accounting rules (ASC 740) and FIN 48
Familiarity with Corptax compliance software a plus
Comfortable with researching using BNA, CCH and RIA software
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate across regional jurisdictions required
Need a self starter for this position- an individual who looks to add value and make an impact upon an organization
Strong background around federal and state tax primary sources, US GAAP (ASC 740, FIN 48 and FAS 123R)
