Job Title: Sr. Product Line Manager, Innovation and Collaborations

The Role

The Senior Product Line Manager (PLM) of Innovation and Collaborations, acts as a central communication channel and facilitator between In Line PLM community, Design, Product Development, Innovation Team marketing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver globally relevant and brand-right product, reflective of our consumers' needs.

The Sr PLM of Innovation and Collaborations, will leverage in-depth knowledge of the UGG brand DNA, competitive positioning, marketplace innovation trends, consumer segmentation, and real-time sales information and insights to define category product strategy and line assortment plans. Combining art and science, this role drives collaboration with Product creation team and Design, to develop "the right" innovative products at the right time, maximizing UGG's expression in the market, ensuring brand synergy and connection across categories.

The Sr PLM of I&C has ownership for assigned projects throughout the full product life cycle, including stages of pre-planning, business briefing, confirmation, presentation, pricing and profitability; final execution, and global product line/business integration. Accountable for projects performance including responsibility for sales and margin targets, product execution, and evaluation and implementation of new opportunities for the global omnichannel consumer. Drives cross-functional partnership as an influential senior team member to deliver strategic direction for the each project

Your Impact


  • Works autonomously to build, drive and strategize product creation process; research and initiate new and existing business/product opportunities; research and interpret market trends for consumer and account opportunities; build the footwear line to support objectives of the SBU

  • Help implement innovation strategy by working closely with the product development team and innovation team, to create, develop, execute and evaluate new products and all new launches

  • Present new Innovation ideas to internal audiences. Understand how to present product innovation and collab projects in a compelling way. Understand how to address and manage feedback from the audience in a collaborative manner.

  • Ownership for overall strategy for assigned projects using inputs from crossfunctional teams involved, as well as, trend & market research. Analyze global performance to strategically build an accurate range plan that optimizes sku efficiency. Steer alignment with Design, Innovation and Development to ensure product segment is in line with brand DNA and competitive set. Creates merchandising stories around color, materials to ensure commercial product flow; Provides training and guidance to junior team members for alignment across category team

  • Work autonomously to identify opportunities with new innovative product and drives the merchandising matrix of assigned category. Assist in identifying strategic opportunities for global category growth to meet financial goals.

  • Ownership for line creation process including calendar, product price, segmentation, sku count, adoption, and all major meeting agenda inputs and outputs.

  • Defines business brief and line plan for new projects.

  • Create innovation and cocreation concept briefs with end user product feature/benefit and cost structure. Work directly with global product development and design in assuring product cost and integrity exists in the collections.

  • Responsible for alignment with Go to Market process through partnership with Design, Development, Marketing, Sales, and Omnichannel counterparts. Serve as leading contributor/presenter at major milestones, sales launch, and ad hoc presentation needs.

  • Support Marketing Collab team with product management functions

  • Facilitate open dialogue with all channel and internal cross-functional partners to intelligently drive category business.

  • Drive collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure balance brand and region/channel category needs; identify and create region/channel-specific product for category, ensuring product is both brand and market right.; Resolve discrepancies should misalignment occur.

  • Stay current on industry trends and knowledge by attending select trade shows, retail store and account visits, market visits, partnership with consumer insights team, and connection with customers

  • Shared accountability with product creation team for data accuracy in product information systems

Who You Are


  • Proven senior-level experience analyzing and translate trends and market information to inform category and product positioning, distilling and prioritizing business opportunities to make effective decisions

  • Persuasive communicator with proven negotiation and influencing skills; easily adapts to needs of different audiences

  • Experience leading, managing and influencing in a matrixed environment; drive alignment between product, sales, and marketing

  • Advanced level business acumen - continuously evaluates competitors and the marketplace to creatively capitalize on market opportunities

  • Strong knowledge of merchandising and retail math, with ability to mentor junior team members

  • Experience independently developing strategic plans, with ability to see the big-picture and communicate an impactful vision

  • Experience resolving complex problem, with limited direction and guidance

  • A self-starter who brings a level of passion, enthusiasm, and focus to their business and can guide partners with a positive and entrepreneurial approach.

  • Experience designing and delivering compelling presentations for small and large audiences.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Organizational skills with experience managing complex projects, critical paths/timelines.

  • Proven experience managing multiple deadlines in a fast paced, changing environment.

  • Experience successfully managing others to deliver exceptional attention to detail

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 7 - 10 years of related experience with Collab or Innovation preferred (retail, product line management, merchandising, product development & design)

  • 3+ years management experience

$165,000 - $175,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
