Job Description:

The Goodwill Outlet store is unique to our retail team in that items are processed and sold in bulk quantities. This position offers opportunities to blend logistical and production experience with leadership retail team members from diverse backgrounds. If so, Goodwill of the Heartland is the place for you. We are looking to hire a full time Outlet Store Manager for our Headquarters location!


Responsibilities:



  • The Outlet Store Manager ensures we excel in customer service internally and externally. This includes monitoring in-store processing and inventory, optimizing the processing of donated items for in-store use and on-going inventory to be shipped to the warehouse.

  • This position sets the culture of Goodwill for the store, ensuring our team members have the skills and resources to do their best every day, and can implement retail best practices and organizational procedures.

    • Many of our team members are hired through Goodwill mission programs, are English language learners, and/or are reentering work from incarceration, so our store leader must understand the value of a diverse team and have the desire to help each team member reach their full potential.



  • The Store Manager schedules store employees to ensure adequate coverage and to meet production needs during all hours of operation, as well as ensures accuracy, efficiency, and cash controls on the cash register.

  • Administrative duties include store reporting, bank deposits, performance appraisals, and other documentation needed for store management.


Qualifications: 



  • A high school diploma/GED or in pursuit of a diploma or GED is required.

  • Five years of full-time employment is required, preferably in production, manufacturing, logistics, or retail.

  • Two years of leadership experience is required.

  • Successful criminal background check and MVR. Must have Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.


The Store Manager position has a starting salary of $42,195 annually and this position is also eligible for commission and incentive pay based on store performance. Goodwill drives a strong reliability culture and the schedule will include a rotation of days, evenings, and weekends that requires flexibility. In order to provide the best leadership, this position will be required to work every other weekend, at least one evening shift, and one mid-shift per week.
