Arcadis seeks a Transit Project Manager for Capital Projects with significant experience with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) processes and compliance to lead minor and complex projects while embedded in a client office.

Role description:

Experience with FTA grants, environmental documentation, and guiding projects from planning through implementation is key to this position. You will serve as the project manager for county transit capital projects and facilities, and lead designs and planning projects of varying complexities and size. This position can work from home 1-2 days per week.

Role accountabilities:


  • Maintain and grow relationships with our regional and local clients.
  • Manage multiple, simultaneous projects with various topics and complexity levels such as Bus Transfer Facilities, Alternative Analysis for a circulator system.
  • Lead development of project deliverables and provide quality management.
  • Work directly with clients and deliver superior service.
  • Develop and manage project finances and contract requirements.
  • Conduct technical analysis and prepare project reports.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a Planning or Engineering discipline
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience in transportation planning

Key Skills/Attributes

  • Ability to independently apply advanced planning techniques and analyses for problems and methods as well as provide technical guidance to planners, designers and engineers.
  • Strong communicator both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of the National Environmental Policy Act and Title 6

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters' degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Transportation Planning or equivalent experience
  • AICP or Georgia Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain one through reciprocity within 6 months.
